Studio Acceptable Use Policy

What is and isn’t allowed when using Puzzlumina Studio. This policy supplements the Terms of Service and the Studio License Terms.

1. No automated abuse

Studio is a creator tool, not a public generation API. You may not script, automate, or otherwise programmatically hammer the generation endpoints; scrape the service; or run Studio through shared/resold credentials. Generation is intended to be driven by you through the Studio interface.

2. Commercial use vs. raw-data resale

Paid Studio output carries a royalty-free commercial license: using the puzzles you generate inside published works — puzzle books, worksheets, newsletters, magazines, and other creative or educational products — is fully permitted and is exactly what Studio is for.

What is not permitted is reselling or redistributing the raw, unmodified puzzle output as a standalone puzzle data set, feed, or database that competes with Puzzlumina — for example packaging generated grids as a bulk “puzzle data” product. The license covers your use of the puzzles in your works, not resale of the underlying data.

3. Fair-use limits

Studio plans enforce a per-batch limit (1,000 puzzles for Creator, 3,000 for Publisher) and, on Creator, a soft cap of 10,000 generated puzzles per month — set well above any realistic publishing workflow. Publisher has no monthly cap. We may enforce these limits and adjust them as needed to keep generation fast and reliable for all users. The current cap is also stated in the Terms of Service fair-use section.

4. Enforcement and suspension

We reserve the right to investigate suspected abuse and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy — including usage that is abusive or in bad faith even where it is technically within the stated quotas. Where practical we will give reasonable notice before suspending an account, except in cases of clear bad faith or where immediate action is needed to protect the service.
